A Quieter Stretch of Coastline
Khao Takiab takes its name from the small hill — nicknamed "chopstick hill" — that rises at the southern end of its beach. Compared to central Hua Hin, the pace here is noticeably slower, with a long-established mix of expats, retirees, and Thai families living side by side.
Property in the Area
Condo developments with sea views have grown steadily here in recent years, alongside smaller villas set back from the beach road. Buyers are typically drawn to the area for direct beach access and a stronger sense of community than newer developments elsewhere in Hua Hin.
Local Life
The hill itself — home to a temple and a resident troop of macaques, locally known as Monkey Mountain — offers sweeping views over the bay. Seafood restaurants line the beach road, and Vana Nava water park and Plearn Wan retro village are both a short drive away.
